Our experience at the Kobonal SOLT Mission in Haiti………the best description that comes to mind is that the Mission is an oasis in the middle of a desert. What a contrast in the faces of those outside the Mission as compared to those who are part of the Mission. The poverty, the emptiness and hopelessness of most of the people we saw in Haiti was quite evident to us.

In contrast, those working within the Mission radiated contentment, happiness, self confidence and enthusiasm. There was no doubt that Jesus’ work has been and continues to be done at this Mission. The beautiful smiles and the healthy bodies of all of the children in the Mission School was something wonderful to behold. The SOLT Haiti Mission has given these people something to hope for and to look forward to and an appreciation that God has not forgotten them.
